Chemical & Volatile Compound Testing

Identify Chemical Contaminants and Evaluate Indoor Environmental Conditions

Chemical contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can be present in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. These compounds may originate from building materials, cleaning products, fuels, solvents, industrial operations, manufacturing processes, water intrusion events, or environmental contamination.

Our Reviews

VOC Testing & Environmental Analysis

Our chemical and volatile compound testing services include indoor air sampling, surface and material sampling, soil and environmental testing, industrial and commercial assessments, post-incident investigations, and laboratory analysis. We collect samples from indoor environments, building materials, furnishings, soil, groundwater, and other affected areas to evaluate the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemical vapors, and potential environmental contaminants. Testing may be performed following chemical spills, fuel releases, fire-related incidents, contamination concerns, or indoor air quality complaints.

All samples are analyzed by accredited laboratories using recognized testing methods, and results are provided in detailed reports that document findings, observations, and environmental conditions relevant to the assessment.

Why Chemical Testing Matters

Often, chemical compounds and VOCs are invisible and therefore, testing can be crucial in a wide range of environmental assessments. Environmental testing services are essential in identifying contamination, demonstrating conditions, aid in planning remediation efforts, and documenting property transactions. Our services may include:

  • Identification of chemical contaminants
  • Assessment of indoor air quality issues
  • Support of environmental assessments
  • Aide in planning remediation
  • Demonstrate conditions of contamination
  • Provide laboratory confirmed data

Frequently Asked Questions

What are volatile organic compounds (VOCs)?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are chemical substances that can escape into the air from various consumer and commercial products, such as; paints, solvents, fuels, glues, detergents, building products, and from industrial activities. VOC’s can be detected via various forms of testing.

Testing is appropriate in any of the following circumstances, but not limited to: indoor air quality issues, chemical odours detected in a premises, evidence of contamination (suspected or confirmed), environmental incidents, real estate transactions, industrial releases or after any sort of accident, spills or post-fire event.

Depending on the nature of the contamination investigation undertaken, samples can be retrieved in the form of indoor air, surface swipes, building materials, soil samples, water samples or groundwater samples.
After samples are obtained, they are delivered to an accredited testing laboratory. The results of which are then compiled into a formal report detailing the lab results of the sample obtained, where the sample was retrieved from and an account of the observations that were relevant to the assessment performed.
